| Judith L. Meadows of Tanner WV, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. She had battled cancer since 1991. She was born and raised in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late Harriett Hoskins and Denver O. Chenoweth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Spencer Meadows in 1993, a sister, Karen Bess, in 2003, and a brother-in-law, Denzil McKown in 2009. Surviving are two sons, James A. Meadows and wife Jennifer of Cross Lanes WV; T. Mark Meadows and wife Donna, of Tanner; and one daughter, Connie B. Meadows-Hall and husband Donald of Spencer WV. Also surviving are four granddaughters, Karleigh, Bayleigh, and Jayme Meadows, all of Cross Lanes WV, and Megan Meadows of Tanner; one sister, Sue McKown of North Royalton OH; and one brother, Roger Chenoweth, and wife Shirley of Chloe WV. Judy graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1959. She attended Glenville State College and WVU Banking School. She worked for 3 years for the Gilmer County Board of Education and approximately 26 years for Kanawha Union Bank and United Bank-Glenville before retiring in 2001. Judy was a born again Christian and was a former member of the Tanner United Methodist Church. She attended Tanner Chapel and had served as their treasurer for several years while there. She also served as a past secretary and treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Tanner Community Building. Funeral services will be held December 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville with Pastor Bryon Bukovesky officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00. Burial will be in the Meadows Family Cemetery at Richardson in Calhoun County. |
