TWO ADDITIONAL CANDIDATES FILE FOR CALHOUN SCHOOL BOARD

Two additional county citizens have filed for three open positions for the Calhoun Board of Education.

Joining incumbent Steve Whited, Jackie Collins Frail and Wilbert Kerby for school board.

Jean Simers has filed for County Clerk and Scottie "Chip" Westfall has filed for county commissioner.

Incumbent House of Delegates member David Walker has filed for the seat.

Filing for five elected Calhoun officials will end Saturday.

A special election for the renewal of a levy to support Calhoun emergency services and criminal justice services is set for February 1, with no increase in taxation.

Early voting is in progress at the County Clerk's office.
