Wilma Truman Boggs, 83 - Spencer

Wilma Truman Boggs, 83, of Spencer, died Friday, December 20, 2013, at her home.

She was born June 6, 1930, at Uler, Roane County, a daughter of the late Greely and Ruby Simons Truman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Moore; and a brother, Ronzel Truman.

Wilma was a beautician and a former employee of the Spencer Hospital.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Wright of Elkhart, IN, Sharon Nichols of Pomeroy, OH and Barbara Bowles of Nokomis, FL; two sons, Junior Boggs of Spencer and Carl Dean Boggs of Bradenton, FL; five sisters, Virginia Dye of Gauley Bridge, Leona Jones of Ripley, Nina Sanchez and Netta Ruth Harold both of Spencer and Loretta Snodgrass of Left Hand; one brother, Randall Truman of Sissonville; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. "Danny" Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Josiah Jarvis Cemetery, Oka, Calhoun County. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
