Wilma Truman Boggs, 83, of Spencer, died Friday, December 20, 2013, at her home. She was born June 6, 1930, at Uler, Roane County, a daughter of the late Greely and Ruby Simons Truman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Moore; and a brother, Ronzel Truman. Wilma was a beautician and a former employee of the Spencer Hospital. Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Wright of Elkhart, IN, Sharon Nichols of Pomeroy, OH and Barbara Bowles of Nokomis, FL; two sons, Junior Boggs of Spencer and Carl Dean Boggs of Bradenton, FL; five sisters, Virginia Dye of Gauley Bridge, Leona Jones of Ripley, Nina Sanchez and Netta Ruth Harold both of Spencer and Loretta Snodgrass of Left Hand; one brother, Randall Truman of Sissonville; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. "Danny" Whited officiating.
