| Roger W. Hickman, 64, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at home. He was born December 16, 1948 at Apple Grove, Mason County, West Virginia, a son of the late William T. and Ollie Mae Chapman Hickman. He was formerly employed at Kellwood Company and attended the Leatherbark Community Church. Roger is survived by his wife, Freda Starcher Hickman; his brothers and sisters, Robert (Sue) Hickman of Spencer, Ann (Doug) Sacchi of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Betty (Jerry) Watson of Spencer, Mary Gandee of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Ronald Hickman of Point Pleasant, and Bernard (Lisa) Hickman of Spencer; nieces and nephews, Brian (Barbara) Hickman of Spencer, Jennifer (Robert) Lawrence of Spencer, Michelle Gates of Parkersburg, and Thomas, Clara, Kaitlyn, Dylan, Christopher, Alexis, and Hayley, all of Spencer; and his great-nephews, Cory and William Gates of Parkersburg; and Logan Hickman of Spencer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia D. Hickman; and a niece, Leah N. Hickman. Services will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with Rev. Phil Lawrence officiating. Visiting will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Per Roger's wishes, he will be cremated after the service. |
