SPENCER FIREMEN RESCUING OCCUPANTS OF VEHICLE STALLED IN RISING WATER

7:25 PM FRIDAY - The Spencer-Roane VFD was responding to a 911 call in Spencer saying people were trapped in rising flood water in a stalled vehicle. The vehicle was near the Front Street/Alvord bridge, a place that frequently floods along Spring Creek. Firemen said they were going to use a wrecker to pull the vehicle and occupants to safety. Local flooding in low areas has been reported in the region. The flood watch is in effect through Saturday morning.
