CALHOUN'S DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROGRAM NEEDS A LITTLE HELP - Donations Of Personal Items

(12/04/2013)
Calhoun's domestic violence program needs a little help with the donation of personal items for victims, says Lori Fleagle with the Domestic Abuse Response Team.

The Calhoun program operates with a budget of $21,000, and funds often fall short to help victims in times of crisis.

Fleagle says personal items are often needed by victims.

The public can help by donating the items and leaving them under the Christmas tree in the lobby of the Grantsville City Building.

Needs List: Blankets, toys, office/school supplies, personal hygiene items including shampoo, cream rinse, hair spray, deodorant, tooth brushes, tooth paste, bath soap, combs, brushes, lotions, diapers, pacifiers, baby bottles, powdered formula, towels, wash cloths, make-up, laundry soap, and other items like paper products, storage tubs with lids, first aid supplies, blankets, sleepers, winter hats and gloves, sweatpants, and t-shirts.

Cash donations can be mailed to: Domestic Abuse Response Team, P.O. Box 585, Grantsville WV 26147.
