CHARLESTON NURSE STABBED - A CAMC nurse was injured when a patient grabbed her by her stethoscope and cut her face with a knife.

Media learned about the incident from documents filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Vickie Taylor, 58, of Charleston, is charged with malicious wounding for allegedly cutting Emily Hughton in the face last week at CAMC General.

Hughton had a 4-inch laceration, according to the police report.

MAN SHOT IN RALEIGH - A Raleigh County man was taken to the hospital early Saturday after being shot in a fight that happened in Fayette County. The shooting happened at Drifter's Bar near Glen Jean at about 3:30 a.m.

Police found Emanuel Stoumile, 28, wounded in the left leg above the knee, the man having been in a fight with a man who left the scene.

Police arrested Kevin J. Dumas, 20, of Columbus, Ohio. Officers said Dumas' facial tattoos and clothing matched witness descriptions and that a Glock .40, determined to be stolen and likely used in the shooting, was found in his vehicle.

Dumas was wanted in Columbus on felonious assault charges.

Dumas denied involvement.
