Two firefighters from the Gandeeville-Harmony Volunteer Fire Department escaped injuries early Tuesday morning when their tanker truck was likely totaled while responding to a structure fire on Harmony Road.

Two teens who were in the burning structure managed to get out of the dwelling, which was a total loss.

The fire chief and a firemen were taken to Roane General Hospital for evaluation and released.

The tanker truck was valued at $250,000, and is covered by insurance.

Firemen said weather conditions likely played a role in the accident.
