ROANE FIRE TRUCK CRASHES GOING TO FIRE - Firemen Escape Serious Injury

(11/26/2013)
Two firefighters from the Gandeeville-Harmony Volunteer Fire Department escaped injury Tuesday after their fire truck crashed and was totaled on Harmony Road.

The department was responding to a 7:15 a.m. fire that destroyed a rural home in which two teens managed to escaped.

The tanker truck was valued at $250,000, and is covered by insurance.

The department's chief and a volunteer were taken to Roane General Hospital for evaluation.

Authorities said weather conditions played a role in the wreck.
