Barbara June Phillips, 72 - Gandeeville

Barbara June Phillips, 72, of Gandeeville, West Virginia died November 22, 2013 at the Charleston Area Medical Center after a brief illness.

She was born May 12, 1941 in Roane County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Lovell and Dessie Metz King. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cats and the outdoors and was a member of the Worldwide Church of God.

She is survived by three daughters, Terry Gray of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Amanda Lawson of Pigeon, West Virginia, and Janet Schwender of Spencer, West Virginia; two sons, Charles Ernest Phillips, Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, and John Wesley Phillips of North Carolina; three sisters, Carol Starcher and Lou Hall, both of Spencer, and Betty Sue Hamrick of Akron, Ohio; four brothers, Charles King of Martin, Tennessee, Billy King of Bolivar, Ohio, Bobby King of Barberton, Ohio, and Lovell King, Jr. of Spencer; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Charles Ernest Phillips.

Service will be at noon on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Danny Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
