WEST VIRGINIANS GETTING FLU SHOTS DOWN

(11/12/2013)
Flu season will peak in a couple of months, and health officials urge West Virginians to get their annual flu vaccinations.

Reports indicate that the numbers of people getting the shots is down. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends anyone six months and older to get a flu shot.

The CDC says this year's vaccine protects against two influenza A viruses, including H1N1, and one influenza B virus.

Flu season is expected to peak in January or February.
