| August "Gus" Mackenzie age 48 of Sinking Creek Rd., Coxs Mills, West Virginia, departed this life at 4:40 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 3, 1964 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Elmer Mackenzie of Carmichaels, PA; and Margaret Steskel-Mackenzie of Coxs Mills.
August worked in the heating and cooling industry as a repair man. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, cooking, playing the piano, gardening, and being an avid reader.
Along with his parents, August is survived by his sister, Nancy Mackenzie-Truran and husband Paul of Carmichael PA; and nephews Colin and Liam Truran also of Carmichael PA.
Gus's request for cremation has been honored.
Ellyson Mortuary Inc. is assisting the family of August Mackenzie with arrangements.
