CHARLESTON BANK HEIST - Three people are in custody following a bank robbery in Charleston over the weekend.

The robbery happened at the Chase Bank with two women and one man in custody. Police say they recovered a vehicle, a plastic gun and money believed to be connected to the robbery.

Stephen Spires, 61, of Williamson is charged with bank robbery. Bernice White, 61, and Sandra Mullens, both of Williamson, is charged with accessory to a bank robbery.

MOUNTAINEER FOOTBALL STAR INCIDENT - Former Mountaineer football record-setting wide receiver David Saunders is yet to be charged following a deadly shooting in a parking lot in Tampa, Florida.

Police said Saunders, 37, a personal trainer, was confronted by Deshaun Gregory, 31, of Tampa, the boyfriend of a woman Saunders has been training.

Authorities say an altercation began as a verbal argument and then Gregory came at Saunders with an 8-inch kitchen knife. Saunders shot Gregory in the head and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gregory's girlfriend was with him at the scene of the fight.

The Florida Attorney General's Office will decide if charges should be filed or if the death was justifiable homicide.

Saunders had a star-studded career at WVU from 1995-1998. He ended his career with the most receiving yards and most receptions in Mountaineer football history.

MON COUNTY ARMED ROBBERY - The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department arrested two people in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at the West Run Apartments in Morgantown.

The sheriff's department said a handgun was brandished at the victim and cash was taken before the robbers left the scene. The investigation led to the arrests of Codey S. Blaney, 18 of Morgantown, and Reece D. Shepard, 22 of Morgantown, charged with armed robbery and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Blaney and Shepard are both in the North Central Regional Jail.
