CHS VOLLEYBALL GIRLS DOWN RITCHIE IN LKC BATTLE

By Angie Hersman Calhoun High School JV and Varsity Volleyball girls hosted Ritchie County in a LKC battle on Thursday evening. JV won 2-0 and Varsity winning 3-1. CHS Varsity (22-8-3) defeated Ritchie 25-22, 25-19, 10-25, 25-23 Stephanie Hall 8 points, 6 blocks, 2 kills, 6 assists; Savannah Rogers 30 points (4 aces), 1 block, 4 kills, 3 assists; Autumn Blair 18 points (9 aces), 8 kills; Bailie Cain 6 points, 4 blocks, 10 kills, 2 assists; Amanda Carter 7 points, 1 assist; Megan Barton 11 points (1 ace), 65/66; and Kenzie Hicks 5 points, 1 block, 7 kills, 8 assists. CHS JV (10-4) defeated Ritchie 25-21 and 25-17 Ashley Hersman 14 points (2 aces); Shyenne Jarvis 11 points (1 ace); Tori Allen 8 points (2 aces); Hannah Allen 7 points (1 ace) Makayla Smith 5 points; Taylor Garrett 3 points; and Kayla Lamb 2 points (1 ace)
