| Tishia Frances King Pritt, age 88, of Troy, West Virginia, departed this life at 11:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her residence, surrounded by family and friends, following an extended illness. Born April 27, 1925 in Gilmer County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Merch and Flossie McHenry King. Tishia was a homemaker, worked in the local coal mines, and worked on a saw mill with her husband for several years. She enjoyed any kind of word puzzles, gardening, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. On June 14, 1952 she was united in marriage to Coy Pritt, who preceded her in death on November 17, 1993. Tishia is survived by 1 daughter, Patricia Self and husband Auttie of Cox's Mills, WV; 2 sons, Coy Pritt Jr. of Troy, and Gary Lynn Pritt of Auburn WV; 3 stepchildren, Jack Pritt and wife Lois of Grasonville MD; Alice Pratt and husband Bill of West Union WV, and Ann George of Norristown PA. Tishia was also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, Tishia was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Carolyn Lou Pritt; 1 son, Charles Lee Shackleford; 1 stepson, Ray Pritt; 1 granddaughter, Cynthia Shackleford; 1 great-great-grandson, Hogan Short; 6 brothers; and 4 sisters. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, West Virginia, 26351 at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2013. Burial will follow in the Cedarville Cemetery, Cedarville, West Virginia. Friends may call from 11-1 Saturday at the Mortuary.
