ARNOLDSBURG COMMUNITY HALLOWEEN PARTY - FREE at Arnoldsburg Community Park beginning at 5 p.m. There will also be a Haunted House with $2 admission fee. For details see Community Halloween Party

GRANTSVILLE HALLOWEEN BLOCK PARTY - This year the Halloween Block Party in Grantsville will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Wayne Underwood Field from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. There will be costume judging at 3:15 p.m. with games and a cake walk. Extended Trick-or-Treat hours at the Wayne Underwood Field ONLY from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Anyone having any questions, please contact Geneva Nicholson or Judy Powell 304-354-9088.

ARNOLDSBURG TRICK OR TREAT - Arnoldsburg trick or treat will be Sat. from 5 - 7 p.m.

GRANTSVILLE VFD HAUNTED TRAIL - The trail will be open from 7-11 p.m. at Calhoun County Park on Friday and Saturday, October 25th and 26th. Admission is $5, children under five free. Refreshments will be available.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST IN GRANTSVILLE OCT. 26 - Calhoun Youth Football will be hosting a pumpkin carving contest for all ages. Bring your pre-carved, pre-lit pumpkins to Wayne Underwood Field in Grantsville from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 26.

Free entry - 2 entries per person max. Winners will receive a cash prize in the following categories: Prettiest, Scariest, Funniest, Most Original and Best of Show.

Judging will be at 8 p.m. and winners will be announced.

Extended trick or treat hours will be from 7-8 at the field only - during the pumpkin contest. Anyone wanting to hand candy out may come set up a station. Anyone decorating their station that would like to be judged can pay $10 and the winner will receive a prize.

TRICK-OR-TREAT AT MINNIE HAMILTON - The annual Long Term Care Trick or Treat at Minnie Hamilton Health System will be held on Saturday, October 26 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. All children welcome.

GRANTSVILLE TRICK-OR-TREAT - October 26, 5-7 p.m. with a community Halloween party.

VFW AUXILIARY HALLOWEEN - The ladies of the Grantsville VFW Post 5959 will serve FREE hotdogs and hot chocolate as well as give candy to Trick or Treaters beginning at 5:00 p.m (during Grantsville's Trick-Or-Treat and community party, Oct. 26) in the Auxiliary meeting room (separate from the Post's canteen) Soft drinks may be purchased from the Auxiliary.

CRESTON HALLOWEEN PARTY - Saturday, Oct. 26 starting at 5 p.m. at the Creston Community building. For children of all ages 9 days to 90 years. There will be a covered dish meal [bring some goodies if you can] There will be hayrides, one scary, not so much so, and contests for the usual sort of things, pretty, ugly, scary, original etc.

"GREET & TREAT" - Victory Baptist Church will be hosting their annual "Greet and Treat" on Saturday, October 26th from 5 -7 p.m. The community is invited to bring their youth to the church parking lot for treats and family fun. This annual event is a great evening of fellowship with church members who enjoy decorating their cars and themselves. Stop by for coffee and hot chocolate too.

HALLOWEEN PARTY AT FRAMETOWN - There will be a Halloween party at the Frametown Community Building Saturday evening, October 26. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Burnin' 79 will be providing the entertainment for the evening. Costumes are encouraged and there will be awards for adult and youth for the scariest, prettiest, ugliest and most original costumes. There will also be drawings, cake walks, treat bags for the kids, and other activities throughout the evening. Concessions will be available and admission is free. Bring the family and enjoy the evening.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST COULD WIN YOU CASH - Slated For Oct. 26 Elizabeth - The McClung-Morgan House on Court Square in Elizabeth will host a pumpkin carving contest on Saturday, October 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This family-friendly event is open to all ages and is free of charge.

Participants should bring their pre-carved, pre-decorated pumpkins (limit 2 per person) to the McClung-Morgan House by 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26.

The pumpkins will be lit displayed on the sidewalk; at 6:00 p.m. for everyone to enjoy. At 6:30 p.m., judges will announce a winner for each of the following categories: Scariest, Funniest, Most Original, and Best of Show.

Each winner will receive a cash prize of $25. A full list of sponsors will be provided in a future article. Businesses, groups, and organizations are also encouraged to participate.
