Carl Otto Heinzman, 89 - Big Springs

Carl Otto Heinzman, 89, of Big Springs, WV went to his heavenly home on Saturday October 12, 2013 at Crucible, Pennsylvania.

He was born August 28, 1924 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to the late August S. Heinzman and Vesta Jones. He was a United States Navy World War II Veteran. He served from March 24, 1944 to April 30, 1946, serving USS Griffin and Subron 12. After his military service, he became a Master Carpenter and retired at age 77.

Surviving are three sons, Ronald (Marty) Heinzman of Rootstown Ohio; Robert (Diana) Heinzman of Ashley Ohio; and Tim (Teresia) Abel of Big Springs WV; three daughters, Janet (Stephen) McPeek of Cambridge Ohio, Kathy (Jamie) Hardman and Jeanette Richards of Macfarlan WV; one sister, Betty Alley; and three brothers Kenneth, Archie and Phillip Heinzman, all of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobbie Heinzman, and his long-time companion, Betty Abel.

A memorial service will be held Saturday October 19, 2013, 12:00pm, at the Prosperity Baptist Church at Leading Creek with Rev. Ron Chesser officiating. Burial of cremated remains will follow in the Goodnight Cemetery at Big Bend. Friends may call at the church from 11:00-12:00pm prior to the service.
