MAN INJURED IN ATV CRASH ON COAL FORK - Air-Lifted To Medical Center

The Manley Collins family reunion was disrupted Sunday about noon when one of the attendees was injured in an ATV accident. A 58-year-old North Carolina man Donnie Coggins received multiple injuries after his ATV struck an object and crashed on a hillside above the Collins homestead. A passenger on the ATV was not injured. Coggins was air-lifted from narrow Coal Fork Road, just off Leading Creek Road, reportedly suffering from a back and possibly other injuries. Minnie Hamilton EMS responded to the scene with the Grantsville and Smithville VFDs.
