Vere "Bill" Eugene Brannon, 73 - Mineral Wells

Vere "Bill" Eugene Brannon, 73, of Mineral Wells, formerly of Grantsville, passed away October 9, 2013 at Minnie Hamilton Health Systems after an extended illness.

He was born in Calhoun County, the son of the late Denver Ray and Amy May Brannon. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired from Hardman's and B. F. Goodrich.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Joanne (Sampson) Brannon; one daughter, Anetia (Mike) Wilson; one son, Carl (Judy) Brannon; three grandchildren, Amber Wilson (Joe Blair), Andrew Wilson, Berlisha (Jeffery) Miller; two great grandchildren, Hunter Blair and Olivia Brannon.

Also survived by sisters Betty Keen of Chloe, Carolyn Bailey of Orma, Mae Conley of Looneyville and Dottie Lou Parsons of Ohio. One brother, Larry Brannon of Spencer and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Randy Eugene Brannon. Three sisters, Ruth Boggs, Opal Cottrell and Erma Jean Brannon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013, 1:00 pm at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Rev. Kevin Church officiating.

Burial will follow in the Gibson Cemetery at Arnoldsburg with full military graveside rites. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday.
