WAYNE MURDER - A Wayne County woman has been charged with the murder of 51-year-old Julius Davis, 51, of Wayne, a man who had been reported missing.

State Police arrested 31-year-old Erica Streets and Daniel Kilpatrick this weekend in his shooting death.

Investigators believe Kilpatrick helped bury the body after the murder.

Streets is charged with first degree murder and Kilpatrick is charged with being an accessory after the fact. Both are currently in the Western Regional Jail.

MAN KILLS FATHER - A Circleville man has been arrested and charged with the murdering of his elderly father.

State Police have charged John William Smith, 54, with first degree murder, after responding to the residence.

They found John Conway Smith, 83, dead from a gunshot wound. His son, John Conway Smith, was arrested and is now in the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail.

MORGANTOWN ROBBERY - The Morgantown Police Department responded to an armed robbery at a BP gas station.

According to a press release, the clerk said a white man and a black man entered the store, and the black man pulled out a handgun and told the clerk to give him all the money in the register.

Once the clerk handed over the money, both subjects fled on foot.

SHOOTING AT CHARLESTON MOOSE CLUB - Police responded to a fight at the Moose Lodge at 2 a.m. Friday.

When police arrived, they saw vehicles leaving the parking lot and heard shots being fired.

"People then fled quickly in vehicles and those on foot ran to vehicles or back toward the Moose Lodge," said Cpl. Brian Humphreys. said. Two victims were transported by personal vehicles to Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital.

Jerome C. Gooch, 28, of Charleston, had been shot in the leg, police said.

Shawn Jackson, 28, of Cleveland, Ohio, had injuries sustained in the fight but had not been shot.

The event at the Moose Lodge was a homecoming private party.

CHARLESTON MURDER SUSPECT TURNS SELF IN - Murder suspect, Kelsey Legg, 19, has turned herself in, according to Kanawha County sheriff's deputies.

Legg is being charged with kidnapping and felony murder of Kareem Hunter.

Hunter was reported missing more than a week ago, police saying he was killed in Legg's apartment.

Deputies say Legg lured Hunter to her house in Marmet where two men were seen leaving with his body, placing it in a car truck.

Legg, reportedly with the assistance of others, replaced carpet and re-painted the walls of the apartment.
