FOURTH 4-H AND FFA LIVESTOCK SHOW SALE RESULTS ANNOUNCED

Calhoun County's 4-H and FFA held their 4th Annual Youth Livestock Sale, this past Saturday at the Molasses Festival. Bill West served as the official judge and Bobby Cooper was the auctioneer. Weigh-in began at 8 am by the weigh-master Jason Nettles. There were 23 youth participating in this year's show and sale:

Candice Conrad sold her Champion Broiler Chickens to Shamblin Brothers Equipment for $100.

Benjamin Knotts sold his Reserve Champion Broiler Chickens to Kenny Arnold for $90.

Jessica Summers sold her Fancy Broiler Chickens to Southern States of Spencer for $80.

Autumn Jones sold her Choice Broiler Chickens to Randall Arnold for $80.

Angel Samples sold her Choice Broiler Chickens to Jason Nettles for $50.

Kayla Church sold her Choice Broiler Chickens to Jason Nettles for $50.

Joseph White sold his Choice Broiler Chickens to Charles W. McKown for $50.

Abby White sold her Choice Broiler Chickens to Southern States of Spencer for $50.

Kole Jarvis sold his Champion Rabbit to Shamblin Brothers Equipment for $300.

Christopher Schultz sold his Reserve Champion Rabbit to Roane General Hospital for $110.

Kelsey Jett sold her Choice Rabbit to Kenny Arnold for $90.

Rebbicca Newlon sold her Choice Rabbit to Randall Arnold for $60.

Austin Coon sold his Choice Rabbit to Mighty Diesel for $80.

Preston Neely sold his Champion Meat Goat to Shamblin Brothers Equipment for $497.

Kayla Church sold her Champion Dairy Goat to Cody McCoy for $414.

Nicholas Smith sold his Champion Feeder Calf to Southern States for $2,898.

Kelsey Jett sold her Reserve Champion to Calhoun Bank for $2,054.50.

Logan McKown sold his Choice Feeder Calf to JSC Enterprises for $2,240.

Kurtis Neely sold his Champion Feeder Calf to Southern States for $3,150.

Trent Cottrell sold his Reserve Champion Feeder Calf to Jackson County Regional Livestock for $3,570.

Candice Conrad sold her Choice Feeder Calf to Cain Farms for $2,715.75.

EmmaLee Knotts sold her Choice Feeder Calf to Vineyard Farms for $---

Anna Knotts sold her Choice Feeder Calf to Houchin Construction for $2,508.

Christopher Schultz sold his Champion Market Lamb to Roane General Hospital for $700.

Kaylee Jarvis sold her Reserve Champion Market Lamb to Nettles Equipment for $432.

Kody Schultz sold his Champion Market Hog to Shamblin Brothers Equipment for $750.

Jessica Summers sold her Reserve Champion Market Hog to Vineyard Farms for $810.

Austin Coon sold his Choice Market Hog to Mighty Diesel for $570.

Angel Samples sold her Choice Market Hog to Southern States of Spencer $474.75.

Total receipts from the sale were $27,600.90.

In the showmanship arena, the placements were as follows:

Chickens - Candice Conrad 1st, Angel Samples 2nd, Autumn Jones 3rd.

Rabbit - Rebbicca Newlon 1st, Austin Coon 2nd, Kelsey Jett 3rd Goat - Autumn Jones 1st, Kayla Church 2nd, Preston Neely 3rd.

Lamb - Kaylee Jarvis 1st, Christopher Schultz 2nd.

Hog - Austin Coon 1st, Angel Samples 2nd, Kody Schultz 3rd.
