A Chloe man, Corey Lee Metheney, 32, has been charged with two counts each of child abuse with injury by parent or guardian and sexual abuse by parent or guardian.

He is in Central Regional Jail on $60,000 bond.

Trooper D. C. Moore of the WV State Police says the victims were 5 and 10 years of age or under when the abuse occurred.

Also during an interview with a psychologist a second child reported the same type of incidents.

Matheney, according to the complaint, was acting as guardian to the victims when the incidents happened, while the victims mother was not in the house.

On the charge of sexual abuse by parent or guardian, Metheney faces a prison sentence of not less than 10 years nor more than 20, in addition to fines.
