FIRE SWEEPS THROUGH SPENCER APARTMENT BUILDING - Occupants Left Homeless

An early morning fire Saturday in Spencer swept through a mobile home and apartment building at 410 Market Street, destroying the mobile home and destroying the interior of the apartment building. The fire left several individuals or families homeless. The fire started in a mobile home adjacent to the 4-unit apartment building, the area was originally known as the Holl Davis Apartments. The Spencer-Roane VFD was on scene for several hours. The structures are owned by Larry and Pat Evans.
