GLENVILLE, WV - The oil paintings of Joseph Pettit will be on display in front of the GSC Robert F. Kidd Library on Friday, October 4th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Additionally, there will be a drawing at the end of the event for a chance to win one of his paintings. Everyone is welcome to stop by and enjoy the artwork.

"Joe was a big hit last year and generously provided one of his paintings for a drawing. We are happy to have a talented GSC alumnus back on campus to provide some extra excitement for the homecoming weekend," said GSC Library Director Gail Westbrook.

Pettit began painting 16 years ago. He spent two years in the Army and then graduated from GSC in 1976. Pettit taught school for 10 years, worked at a saw mill for 25 years, and is now retired. He currently resides in Sutton (Braxton County), West Virginia.

In the case of adverse weather, the show will be moved inside the first floor of the GSC RFK Library. For more information, contact Westbrook at   Gail.Westbrook@glenville.edu   or (304)462-6161.
