The Basic First Aid for Family Caregivers, scheduled for Wednesday, September 25, at CCCOA has been postponed due to illness and rescheduled for Monday, September 30. Please contact CCCOA for further information at 304-354-7822. Calhoun County Committee on Aging is pleased to offer Basic First Aid, a class for anyone age 60 or over or any age that is a family caregiver. Class will be held on Wednesday, September 25, at Calhoun County Committee on Aging, in the Fitness room. Call CCCOA at 304-354-7822 for further information. Topics covered will include burns, broken bones, falls, how to control bleeding. Snake and spider bites. Warning signs of a heart attack or stroke, poison prevention and breathing emergencies. There will be no charge for this class. This is not a certified First Aid course, but general information to help individuals know how to handle family emergencies.
