CALHOUN DAYS 5K RUN BIG SUCCESS

1st overall female, Lacey Mills; 2nd overall female, Mary Kerby; 3rd overall female, Emily Pelfrey 1st overall male, Glenn McMillan; 2nd overall male, Michael Thomas; 3rd overall male, Brady Ohrn By Amy Nicholas Calhoun Days 5K Trail Run/Walk turned out to be a great success. A big thank you to all of the volunteers, Larry, Vicki, and William Baker, Bill Bailey, Shirley Ball, Peter Cobbett, Melinda Fitzwater, Loretta Freshour, Danny, Judy, and Jess Hall, Jeanne Jacobs, Chris Nicholas, Andrea Stevens, and Jeff, Kristy, Mikayla, Kaitlyn and Jacob Toney. The race was made possible thanks to these sponsors, Burkett's Auto Body, Calhoun Banks, Calhoun County Committee on Aging, Dominion Transmission, Family Dollar, J&B Drug, J. When a community comes together good things can happen. Not only did we raise awareness for our beautiful park, but we also raised some money to help keep it nice. Last but not least, thanks to all of the participants below and their family and friends that came out to show their support. Cole Boatright and Luke Sheldon with a strong finish Lisa Walker and Bethany Dempsey come in strong Kaitlyn and Mikayla Toney place 1st and 2nd in their age group
