STUDENT BRINGS GUN - A Wheeling Middle School student is facing firearm charges after he brought a gun to school that was found in his locker.

Police were notified Friday that a student might have brought a gun to campus, with a search quickly beginning.

The student has been charged with possession of a firearm at a school. Police said the investigation continues.

BOONE MAN WIELDS GUN - The Boone County Sheriff's office arrested a man on wanton endangerment charges after they responded to a home in Comfort.

Bobby Ray Parson, 73, of Comfort could also face charges of kidnapping.

Police are investigating whether Parson held his wife at gunpoint through Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Deputies indicted Parson may suffer from dementia or another type of mental illness. They are taking steps to see he receives treatment.

Deputies were able to convince Parson to leave his home willingly and no shots were fired during the incident.

HIGH LIFE HOLD-UP - The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said U.S. Marshals arrested a man in connection to a robbery that occurred September 13. Anthony Moats, 39, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Morgantown.

It said Moats entered the High Life Lounge with a firearm and left in a car with an undisclosed amount of cash.
