The bridge and a section of highway near the border of Clay and Roane County has been renamed in honor of two fallen West Virginia State troopers.

Cpl. Marshall Lee Bailey and Trooper Eric Workman were gunned down just over a year ago after making a traffic stop.

The area, located at Wallback, is now named in their honor.

Family and friends of the two slain troopers joined Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin with law enforcement for the dedication.

The Governor posthumously awarded Bailey and Workman with the State Police Cross.
