WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Homeowner Shoots At Intruder, 70 Car Tires Slashed

(09/10/2013)
HOMEOWNER SHOOTS - A Huntington homeowner got his gun and began firing when he saw a man breaking into his home.

Lieutenant John Williams says that the homeowner told officers that when he saw the intruder entering the house through a back bedroom window, he got a gun from a safe and opened fire.

Police say eight or nine shots were fired as the suspect fled.

Officers, including a K-9 unit, searched the area for about an hour, but never found the suspect.

STABBING VICTIM IN CUSTODY - Charleston police say the victim of a stabbing is now in custody.

Charleston Police arrested Rick Brannon Sunday night.

Brannon was stabbed after beating another man in the head with the handle of a hunting knife.

Police say Brannon has a history of malicious wounding and will more than likely be charged with that offense.

The other man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police have not said if he will be charged for stabbing Brannon.

70 AUTO'S TIRES SLASHED - South Charleston Police have arrested a man in connection with a series of tire slashings, 70 cars in all.

David Williams has been charged with felony destruction of property.

Williams told WSAZ-TV cameras during his arrest, he did it because he was on mushrooms.

Police say more arrests are expected in the case, however they say Williams was responsible for most of the tire slashings.
