Okley Chloe Parsons, 97 - Spencer

Okley Chloe Parsons, 97, of Spencer, West Virginia died September 8, 2013 at the Miletree Center, in Spencer.

She was born May 23, 1916 in Sunflower, West Virginia a daughter of the late Elijah Samuel and Ada Mae Eaton Warren. She was a homemaker and formerly worked as a cook at the Spencer Grill and did housekeeping work for Foster Hedges. She was a member of the Liverpool United Methodist Church and attended the First Baptist Church of Spencer.

She is survived by three sons, Herbert P. and Charles Alfred Parsons, both of Spencer, and Kevin Leon Parsons of Manassas, Virginia; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughter, Judy Lou Starcher and Margie Mae Harris; one son, Mike Parsons; three sisters; and four brothers.

Service 1:00pm Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, with Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting hours are from 6:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Mt. Zion Cemetery, c/o Junior Mitchell, 706 Buffalo Creek Road, Leroy WV 25252.
