Sabrie M. Truman, 89 - Scott Depot

Sabrie M. Truman, 89, of Scott Depot WV, died Saturday, September, 7, 2013, in the Teays Valley Center, Hurricane WV.

She was born June 14, 1924, in Ohio, a daughter of the late Henry and Rosa Maude Clay Ramey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marlena Sue Hicks; and a great grandchild, Joshua Paul Walker.

Survivors include a son, Michael Truman of Scott Depot; two daughters, Regina Francis of Hurricane and Cathy Carper of Chloe WV; two brothers, Leon Ramey and Glen Ramey both of Athalia OH; five grandchildren, Joseph Deweese, Charles Hicks of Big Bend WV, Tina Kuhn of Ripley WV, Julie Walker of Spencer WV, Steve Carper of Clarksburg WV; 11 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Truman was a retired employee of the Health Rite Clinic, Charleston. She attended the Johnston UMC, Scott Depot and was a member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her hobbies included sewing and flower gardening.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial will be in the Minnora Cemetery, Minnora. Friends may call one hour before the funeral service.
