REGIONAL GROUP GETS $70,000 ARC FUNDING

Ten West Virginia projects will be funded by more than $4.3 million in Appalachian Regional Commission grants, according to an announcement by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin. Regionally, the ARC approved $70,000 in startup funding for a revolving loan fund for the Central Appalachia Development Organization, serving the counties of Barbour, Braxton, Gilmer, Lewis, Randolph, Tucker and Upshur. The loan fund is aimed at business retention and creation.
