The Braxton County Airport at Sutton is getting some much-needed improvements.
The airport is getting $1,850,160, the funding being used to rehabilitate the runway of the airport.
A number of other state airports are sharing in a $6 million appropriation.
The funding comes from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which Sen. Jay Rockefeller oversees as Chairman of the Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.
