ROANE NON-PROFITS ELIGIBLE FOR FEMA ASSISTANCE

When disaster relief comes to communities, it comes in different forms. After Roane County was hard hit by flooding, FEMA said that the level of damages to private property did not meet a threshold for private help. But Roane County non-profits are eligible for relief, and have until September 24 to apply. Private non-profit organizations such as food kitchens, homeless shelters, schools and museums, among others are eligible for help.
