(08/23/2013)
The average score of West Virginia students taking the ACT college exam remained the same as a year ago. Test scores in West Virginia this year averaged 20.6, the same as the year before, with some improvements, although 300 less students took the entrance exam.

The report says only 20 percent of students met all four college readiness benchmarks, which are used to indicate a student has at least a 50 percent chance of getting a grade of B or higher in first-year college courses.
