$250,000 GRANT WILL HELP WITH ROANE'S FLOOD CLEAN-UP EFFORTS

(08/22/2013)
West Virginia is receiving a $250,000 federal emergency grant to help pay for storm cleanup and recovery, according to a press release.

Roane County will benefit from the grant, although county residents have been denied individual assistance for damages to about 50 homes.

The U.S. Department of Labor says Workforce West Virginia will use the funding to create temporary jobs helping with cleanup and recovery efforts in Roane County.
