MEDICAL OFFICE STUDENTS PLACE IN NATIONAL COMPETITION

Students from the adult Medical Office Technology Program represented the Roane-Jackson Technical Center and the State of West Virginia at the National Phi Beta Lambda Conference in Anaheim, California during June 21-25.

The students competed in Parliamentary Procedures, the formal rules of conducting business meetings, and placed 4th in the nation. The students had to qualify for the event by placing in the top 15 on the written test. The team then performed an actual meeting for 7-11 minutes.

The team members included Barbara Dickson, Cheryl Scarberry, Pam Heis, Cynthia Forron, and Brenna Mahan.
