GLENVILLE, WV - Glenville State College recently awarded Entrepreneurship Essentials certificates to four students from Braxton and Clay Counties. Julie Cantrell-Greenlee of Duck, Ashley Gauldin of Sutton, and Dawn and Jeremy Cottrell who currently reside in Maysel all completed five classes in business, economics, and management and earned the certificate. The students have been attending evening classes at Braxton County High School in the Braxton County Center classrooms.

"My husband and I have eight children. We both work during the day and are taking these GSC courses in the evenings to make a better future for them. We completed the classes for this certificate in two semesters and are getting closer to a college degree with every one we take," said Dawn Cottrell.

"It is truly rewarding to coordinate these classes for residents of Braxton County and the surrounding areas. This is a great program that combines GSC scholarships and local courses for the people that they were meant to serve!" said Assistant Coordinator of Off-Campus Programming Kathy Gilbert.
