Patricia Ann "Pat" Anderson, 69 - Spencer

Patricia Ann "Pat" Anderson, 69, of Spencer, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, in the CAMC-Memorial Hospital, Charleston.

She was born January 20, 1944 in Cincinnati. OH, a daughter of the late Walter George and Dorothy Mildred Carpenter Rupp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Rupp.

Pat was a retired Registered Nurse. She was the former Head Nurse in the Emergency Department at Roane General Hospital, Spencer. She was a Marine Corps veteran. Also, she loved to read, was an avid Star Trek fan and an animal lover.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Michael and Debbie "Bobbi" Anderson of Spencer; daughter, Sandra Michele Johnson also of Spencer; two grandchildren, Dakota Patrick Johnson and Shyann Michele Anderson; one great grandson, Kason Kelly Anderson; two step grandchildren, Terri L. Toothman and Amanda G. Johnson.

Four step great grandchildren, Brenlee S. McKown, Ryan J. Smith, Lane and Faith Flesher; best friend, Debbie Albert of Spencer; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Jim Pennekamp; brothers and sisters-in-law, Greg and Carol Rupp, Randall and Rhoda Rupp, Daniel and Diane Rupp all of Cincinnati, OH.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 5 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call one hour before the service.

The family prefers memorial donations to the Roane County Animal Shelter.
