WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Woman Beaten, Shot, Held Hostage

WOMAN SHOT, BEATEN, HELD HOSTAGE - A McDowell County woman was brutally beaten and held against her own will, according to the McDowell County Sheriff's Department. Darren Wood has been charged in the beating and shooting of his 44-year-old wife. Police say the a Bartley woman was held hostage for two days before she was able to get to a phone and call for help. The woman had a gunshot wound to the leg and severe bruising to her face. She has been hospitalized. Daren Wood has been charged with malicious wounding and domestic assault along with other charges.
