'NATIONAL NIGHT-OUT' TODAY IN GRANTSVILLE - Free Food, Activities

(08/06/2013)
The Family Resource Network will hold the annual National Night Out event tonight from 5-7 p.m. at the Wayne Underwood Field in Grantsville.

The event has been held annually since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States and Canada.

The event is meant to increase awareness about police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch, neighborhood watch, and other anti-crime efforts.

Vendors will be passing out information on different programs that are available for the community. The Calhoun Co. Family Resource Network will be giving out back to school items for children.

There will be free food for the entire family, hot dogs, and refreshments. Games such as sack race, duck pond, corn hole, ZUMBA, and many other activities.

In addition, all local car enthusiasts are invited to come for the event - show cars, hot rods, drag cars, or any vehicle you would like to bring to the event and show-off.

Come celebrate this special evening in support of local law enforcement and response teams, and show our children the positive effect that pulling together can have on a community.
