WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Elkins Man Charged With Attempted Murder, Princeton Murder

RANDOLPH SHOOTING - Sheriff's deputies in Randolph County are investigating the shooting of Ryan Earl Young in Elkins Monday night. Young suffered a gunshot wound to the head and neck and is in critical condition in Ruby Memorial Hospital. Police have charged Wade Raese, 30, who shot the victim inside a vehicle that they were in. Police have not identified a possible motive. Young is being held on $250,000 bond, charged with attempted murder. PRINCETON MURDER - A woman is dead and a man is wounded after a shooting near Princeton Monday morning and police have charged another man and woman in the crime. The Mercer County Sheriff's Department said the fatal shooting happened in Princeton around 5:20 a.m. The victim shot and killed has been identified as Sherry Matthews, 44, of Princeton. Authorities say 41-year-old Edward Lee Thomas, who also lived in the residence, was shot in the neck. They have arrested and charged Steven McDonald, 32, of Bluefield, and 23-year-old Latasha Kanode of Princeton with murder, robbery, burglary and attempted murder.
