ENCORE PRESENTATION OF PRIVY EVOLUTION - July 20 Blennerhassett Museum, Parkersburg

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. - Presentation number two of "History of Bathrooms…From Ancient Times to the 21st Century" will be presented by Dr. Ray Swick, West Virginia State Parks historian, on Saturday, July 20 at 1 p.m. Dr. Swick made his first presentation April 20.

The talk is being held in conjunction with a popular exhibit now on display at the Blennerhassett Island Museum of Regional History: "Behind Closed Doors - American Bathrooms Through the Ages," on display through December 2013. The exhibit collection features artifacts dating back to the 18th century.

General admission to the museum is $4 for adults and $2 for children (ages 3-12) and includes a tour of the exhibit following the program and access to other areas of the museum and gift shop.

The Blennerhassett Museum is a year-round facility that features three floors of exhibits and covers pre-history to 20th century relics. The museum, located on the corner of 2nd street and Juliana Street in downtown Parkersburg, is open Tuesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m.to 5 p.m.
