WIRT SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT RETIRING - Board Searching For Replacement

(07/12/2013)
The Wirt County Board of Education is searching for a new superintendent, with the retirement of Dan Metz in August.

Metz has been the superintendent for nine years, having been in the Wirt educational system for 33 years.

School officials say they have begun the search by advertising the position in state newspapers and through the state school association.

The search so far has resulted in two applications.

Members of the Wirt County Board of Education will meet to consider extending their search.
