WV'S NEW SEAT BELT LAW STARTS TUESDAY - $100 Fine For Cell Phone Use In Effect

Starting Tuesday you can get ticketed if you're caught not wearing your seat belt.

The new seat belt law allows police to pull you over simply for not being buckled up.

Before this law was issued, you had to first get stopped for another violation.

The fine is $25.

Under a new WV law, effective July 1, If you are caught using a cell phone without a hands-free device or speakerphone, you can be pulled over and issued a $100 ticket.
