SHOOTING ARGUMENT - The Fairmont Police Department arrested a man they said shot at another man on the street at 3:45 a.m.

Police say Joshua Cline, 20, got into an argument with a man and when Fairmont Police intervened, a friend of Cline's said he would give him a ride home, and they left the area, according to a news release.

An hour later, Fairmont police responded to a shots fired complaint. Witnesses said that Joshua Cline returned to the area and shot a handgun several times at the residence while people were on the porch and inside.

Police arrested Cline and obtained a search warrant for his house. Inside the house, they found nearly 6 lbs. Of marijuana, a 9mm handgun and a .380 handgun with an altered serial number.

Cline was charged with four counts of wanton endangerment and one count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

He is being held in North Central Regional Jail on $100,000 bail.

MAN STABBED IN JANE LEW - A man stabbed his son in Jane Lew Sunday night, but details regarding the incident are sketchy.

Terry Garton allegedly got into a fight with his son around on Broad Run Road. The son, reportedly after getting multiple stitches, was released from Ruby Memorial Hospital.

No arrests have yet been made, according to the State Police.

RAND HOLD-UP - The Kanawha County Sheriff's Office say a man tried to rob a 7-Eleven in Rand early Friday morning about 3:45 p.m.

The clerk told deputies that a man wearing a ski mask approached the night service window, showed a handgun, and then demanded cash.

The clerk fled farther into the store and the suspect walked away with nothing being stolen.
