Grover H. Collins, 85 - Big Springs

Grover H. Collins, 85, of Big Springs, West Virginia, passed away June 23, 2013, at his home.

He was born at Big Springs, a son of the late Henry B. Collins and Virginia B. Snider Collins.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a retired water well driller. He was a Methodist by faith.

Surviving are his children, Phillip Kelley (Robyn) of Rootstown OH, Janice Novak of Seven Hills OH, Bill Collins (Becky) of Mt. Zion WV, and Lucy Hill (Ed) of Washington WV; 14 grandchildren and step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lovie D. Collins on Nov. 25, 2006; sisters, Hallie Jones, Nettie Dotson, Rettie Freeland, Reda Leach and Jettie Collins; and brothers, Eddie Collins and Ethelbert Collins.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25 at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. The Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in Nobe Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Monday, and one hour prior to the services Tuesday.
