GILMER MAN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER
A Gilmer County man has been arrested for attempted murder, related to an attack on a couple.Michael Matthew Pumphrey, 34, is in Central Regional Jail, with bail set at $250,000.
A complaint says that Pumphrey, Derrick Lee Stalnaker, Dustin Moore, and others attempted to strike Ricky Townsend and Lindsey Ables in the head with a lead pipe and kill them.
