Offie Wayne Miller, 92 - Leroy

Offie Wayne Miller, 92, of Leroy, West Virginia died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home after an extended illness.

He was born July 7, 1920 in Roane County, West Virginia a son of the late Willie Ray and Erma Guthrie Miller. He was retired from Columbia Gas with 33 years of service. He enjoyed tinkering around his yard, working around the house and growing a garden. Mr. Miller was a US Army veteran of World War Two.

He is survived by a son and a daughter, Roger W. Miller and Judy Rhodes, both of Leroy; one sister, Rachel Johnson of Ripley, West Virginia; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Nadean Parsons Miller; three sisters, Hazel Seaman, Thelma Harrison, and Mildred Kerns; and six brothers, Harold, Elmer, Henry, Charles, Bill, and Russell Miller.

Service 1:00pm Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, West Virginia with Rev. Danny Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Leroy. Visitation is two hours prior to the service on Thursday
