While the Spencer area received the "100 year flood" the Creston area had some high water, closed roads, trees blown down and some hay that had a "special added mineral mix".

Monongahela Power/First Energy had their big pole saw in the Creston area cutting tree limbs along the rights-of-way. There were also interruptions in electric service.

Kathleen Carper Park, age 98, of Brooksville passed away. She was the widow of Charles Park.

Travelers in Kentucky report that the price of gasoline there was $3.39.9 or much less that the price charged W. Va. residents. Sort of a reminder that the state's ruling oligarchy takes a cut "while doling out the goodies to the peasants". Meantimes, little Booth Goodwin who plays U. S. Attorney for the Big Eared One gets lots of publicity while Uncle Joe Bob, the federal judge looks after his corporate cronies, oftimes at the expense of the state's citizens.

Freddie Bush was attending to business in Creston.

Mill Creek Builders were hauling away logs that were piled over beside the Annamoriah bridge. They had been cut for some time.

Dickie Deel moved back to Spencer.

Jeanetta Harper won the quilt that the Creston Area Neighborhood Watch raffled off. The quilt was donated by her grandmother Bessie Arthur.

There seem to be lots of bucks in the velvet and it looks like there will be several "trophy bucks" this coming deer season although one cannot eat antlers. There have also been a lot of squirrels and buzzards seen along the roadways.

The scandals continue about all the Orwellian things the Big Eared One & his minions are doing to effectuate a police state which the homeland security boss, Big Siss Incompetento vehemently denied. One thing for sure, just as an example. If one is involved in or contemplating a dalliance that might prove, shall we say embarrassing if found out, one should not mail the damsel any letters, call her on the phone, text her, e-mail her or get on her face book for all such is recorded, ready to be recalled should anyone with a connection wants to know or should someone decide at any time to institute black mail. Some years back, along these lines, Madame Hillary, whose state department has become a cesspool of sex, drugs and murder, took hundreds of FBI files of political folks in Washington.

Nancy & Alvin Engelke were visiting Mr. & Mrs. Richard Martin, Betty Welch, Mr. &Mrs. Jeff Martin & family, Mr. & Mrs. Dave Welch & family & Mary Beth Brendon & husband's new home in Peoria. Crops in that area are way behind because of spring flooding and many fields are, only now, being planted.

Bob Inglis, a former congress critter from South Carolina, addressed Boy's State at Jackson's Mill and promoted Al Gore's now discredited "global warming/climate change" agenda. One local resident who attended Boy's State some 50+ years ago that the main speaker then was an exchange student from Sweden who talked about the "Wonders of Socialism". These are examples of how the lefties infiltrate and take over what are/were patriotic activities.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude oil rose to $97.75 with Appalchian Light Sweet (drip) fetching $81.98, Marcellus & Utica light $92.30 and medium $99.25/bbl.
